Ductape is a Turkish post-punk duo consisting of Çağla Güleray (vocals, synth) and Furkan Güleray (guitar, bass, drums). Formed in 2019, the band mixes melancholic melodies with energetic beats and lyrics in both Turkish and English. They are heavily influenced by 80s post-punk and darkwave and quickly gained recognition on the global scene. With critically acclaimed releases such as “Echo Drama” and “Ruh”, the duo continues to captivate audiences and establish themselves as a growing force worldwide.
▲ PROLETARIAN POETRY
Proletarian Poetry is a one-man synthetic project based in Gothenburg, which takes its starting point in Swedish synth at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The weight and intensity of EBM is mixed with melodies and blackness from synthpop. The result is bass-heavy machine pop. The message is a central part of the music. The lyrics reflect on the troubled times we live in with increased repression, climate crisis, threat of war and powerful leaders who primarily protect their own interests.
Proletarian Poetry has its roots in the 1990s Jämtland and was then part of a couple of local synth and goth bands that frequently played live. After the project was revived in 2023, Proletarian Poetry released their debut single “Demonize Dehumanize” in February 2024. Since then, the synthetic project has released three EPs – a fourth EP is coming in spring 2026 – and is regularly played by electronic-oriented radio shows around Europe and in North and South America.
