W.A.S.P.’s Douglas Blair and S.O.R.M’s Micke Holm have been working together since Holm purchased Blair’s last remaining unsold hand-made BLAIR MUTANT TWIN double neck guitar in 2022, with Blair delivering the final-assembled instrument to Sweden from Finland.
Blair’s 20+ years as W.A.S.P.’s lead guitarist culminated in an intercontinental move abroad a decade ago – to coach rock bands at the ROCK ACADEMY FINLAND (based in Turku), earn a degree in Guitar Building, and to be in the middle of the best rock and metal scenes in the world.
W.A.S.P. performs at SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL on Thursday 6th June – Blair’s 4th visit including a 2001 fill-in visit (Chris Holmes’s passport expired) – and last blasted Sweden in spring 2023, with 11 stops on the 40th Anniversary ‘The Torture Never Stops’ Tour.
Guitarist/singer Micke Holm formed S.O.R.M in 2017, performing consistently throughout Sweden and releasing its newest 11-song offering ‘Under My Skin’ in 2023 – which includes the emotive title track, to which Blair has also contributed a searing lead.

Combining Blair’s many years of hosting “guitar-fueled” instructional lectures/clinics with Holm’s experience performing solo acoustic shows, ‘THE ROAD TO SWEDEN ROCK’ will feature both Blair’s and Holm’s strong vocals, myriad of acoustic and double neck electric/acoustic guitar stylings, great classic and original songs from all sides, compelling stories, along with a healthy dose of both Guitar Geek and Guitar God.
