Black Mask originates from the State of Mexico and traces its roots back to the autumn of 2019. The band’s inception was driven by a profound desire to craft a Heavy Metal ensemble featuring the commanding vocals of a female lead, drawing inspiration from the timeless essence of revered acts such as Warlock, ACID, Messiah Force, Original Sin, Black Knight, and Znöwhite.
Their journey took a significant leap in July 2020 with the release of “Warriors of the Night,” a pivotal moment that swung open the doors to the international music scene. This accomplishment paved the way for a pivotal collaboration with the esteemed German record label, Underground Power Records, culminating in the release of both the demo and their debut album, “Queen of The Beasts,” available on vinyl and CD formats.
The band’s eminence reached new heights with a special invitation extended by the acclaimed Polish producer Bart Gabriel, beckoning them to partake in the inaugural official tribute to Diamond Head, aptly titled “Are We Evil?”. As of mid-2023, Black Mask unleashed their single, “Metal Warriors,” a defining juncture heralding the commencement of their forthcoming album’s creation, slated for an early 2024 unveiling.
Beyond their studio achievements, Black Mask has radiated brilliance on stages across the globe, captivating audiences within and beyond Mexico’s borders. Their stellar performances have left an indelible mark at illustrious festivals such as Muskelrock in Sweden, Candelabrum II in Mexico, and the eagerly anticipated appearance at the Warm Up Show of Germany’s prestigious Keep it True festival.
