With 11 nights of metal, Gothenburg Metal Championship promises to deliver a music contest that celebrates the grassroots movement and our city’s metal scene. A festival where the winner will not only take home the honour of being hailed as Metal Champion; they will also walk home with a record deal and the opportunity to record their own album at Studio Fredman with none other than Fredrik Nordström!
Competitions
There will be a total of 10 sub-competitions in the run-up to the final, please add these to your diary:
15–18 April: 4 opening rounds at The Abyss
29–30 April & 7–8 May: 4 quarter-finals at The Abyss
30–31 May: 2 semi-finals at The Abyss
The final will be held on 14 June at Gothenburg Metal Temple.
