Legendary Chilean death metal band, originally active from 1985 to 1988, which only recorded two demos that gained absolute cult status in the tape-trading underground. Two songs off their first demo were released as a 7” single which is now a sought-after rarity.
Pentagram (Chile) is cited as an influence by acts such as DISMEMBER, AT THE GATES, DARKTHRONE, NAPALM DEATH and many more. Songs have been covered by bands such as PENTACLE (NL), AVULSED (Spain), TORTURER (Chile) and NAPALM DEATH (UK).
Pentagram reformed in 2008 to play a European tour including Wacken Open Air. Their comeback album “The The Malefice” (2013) was hailed by fans and critics as a true continuation of the original PENTAGRAM spirit.
