About Among The Pestilence
Emerging in 2024 from Borlänge Sweden, Among The Pestilence blends death metal and heavy metal into a genre-defying sound. Among The Pestilence was formed in September 2024 by drummer Kristoffer Grundström and guitarist Hampus Håkman. Among The Pestilence is a mix of The Haunted and At The Gates. Among The Pestilence will release an EP in late 2025.
After Earth
It is said that After Earth will restore your faith in New Wave Of Swedish Death Metal. The music has been described as a perfect mix between melodic and heavy.
The band has done their best to rebuild the melodic death metal scene with the release of their debut album “The Rarity Of Reason”, which was recorded and mastered in the heart of Gothenburg by none other than Robert Kukla (Obsidian Recording Studios) and Fredrik Nordström (Studio Fredman). The group has already toured across Europe, and are aiming to travel the world with the goal to spread the message of pure melodic, gothenburg-sounding, groovy death metal.
The band has recorded a new album with Obsidian to be released in the Fall of 2025, which showcases the prowess of a band that by some are counted to be strong contenders in the new wave of melodic death metal.
