Machinista started as a synthpop duo in late 2012 and has since moved towards a darker sound with each release. Now they are back with an outstanding, dark and atmospheric soundscape, driving rhythms and a powerful voice from John Lindqwister (from Cat Rapes Dog and other bands). He is backed up by Richard Flow on synth and Mattias Johansson on guitar. They have also expanded their sound with drummer Andréas Almqvist (Vånna Inget, Christine Owman), and together they are a force to be reckoned with.
After their recent successful performance at the German festival NCN in September 2025, we are incredibly happy to have them come to Gothenburg!

Deep within Sweden’s forests, beyond the reach of the eye, lies the captivating allure of The Secret French Postcards. Formed in 2016, the band is shaped by the untamed spirit of punk, the poignant beauty of post-punk, and the dark, romantic vibes of early 80s new wave and goth. The band is led by Olli Ohlander, who, after taking a break from music to support his local skateboard community, rekindled his creative spark together with his talented bandmates, who today consist of Peter Björkman, Martin Broman, and Fredrik Ringvall.
Their journey has been one of revival and growth, with notable collaborations with record labels such as Backmask Records and Cold Transmission, and a discography that spans from their debut album “Les Éditions Ostra” to their latest release “Life Got Claws.” Now, driven by a passion to bring their dynamic sound to life on stage, The Secret French Postcards are ready to hit the road and captivate fans with their powerful melodies and raw intensity. DJ Postalwaves
We are extremely pleased to introduce DJ Postalwaves to this evening, originally from Brazil. She recently made her debut as a DJ at Synth-Haket in Gothenburg and has a fantastic feel for her music and audience. Here we get to discover post-punk and other alternative genres from her home country mixed with old classics that will fill the dance floor!
