Misery Oath
The embryo of what would become Misery Oath began in the early 1990s. Several members played in Gothenburg metal bands that shared stages with acts such as Dissection, At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity and Grotesque. This would later put Gothenburg on the map with the “Gothenburg sound.”
Many decades later in 2020 Misery Oath was launched. During 2022, Misery Oath played several live shows around Sweden and released the debut album “A Darker Path” the next year. Their music has been described as dark melodic death metal, with a hint of “The Gothenburg sound” and a profound layer of Nordic
melancholy.
The band embarked on a European tour in 2024 along with companions Creeping Flesh, further sharpening the bands powerful live performance before finally taking the stage at Wacken Open Air 2024. In winter and spring 2025 Misery Oath aims to release three singles while continuing to work on an upcoming full-length album, as well as bringing their liveshow to more stages around Europe.
Syndr
Syndr is a 4-piece Modern Death Metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden with its roots in Melodic Death Metal formed in 2024. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard hitting riffs, aggressive drums and bass with lyrics that reflect the melancholy that is Swedish long winters.
After the release of their debut EP “Limbo” Syndr has been actively playing live while they’ve been writing new material and started recording their first full length album.
Syndr has been given “Live act of the year” award from Livekarsuellen Riksfestivalen. They were one of the four bands chosen to play Wacken Metal Battle finals in Stockholm and also got into the semifinals of Emergenza Gothenburg.
